2009 SBTC Scholarship
Provided by
The South Bend Transportation Club, Inc.

We believe a big part of supporting our community is developing the leaders of tomorrow.

SBTC, a not for profit organization, has raised money through several fund raisers to award a $500.00 scholarship to an area student to help defray college expenses. This year we were very fortunate and thankful to Ed Yanke (our 2008 Person of the Year) donated the award. See our annual dinner highlights.

An essay was required by the applicants to the following questions:

"One of our biggest human's invention is transportation. Any kind of transportation conveys not only to people, but also to information. Therefore we can image that the rest of the discoveries could not have been invented without transportation. Choose one of the following transportation vehicles and explain why you think it has changed people's lives"

          • Automobiles
          • Trucks
          • Bicycles
          • Airplanes

The recipient of the award was voted by the SBTC Board of Directors.

We would like to thank all the participates in their submittal of essays. We learned that all of you have very innovative and creative ideas. We wish you all good fortune in your studies and and schooling.
