"Get to know your club member"
Every month, SBTC would like to profile a member of our club. This is a great way to really get to know someone. The Board of Directors will send a form monthly to some lucky person we want to know better. We would appreciate you filling the form out and sending back.
Bret Yoder
is the Traffic Manager at Valmont Industries, Inc. located in Elkhart, IN. He has been there for over 26 years.
Bret currently lives in Granger, IN along with his wife Carroll of nearly 26 years. He has 3 children. Brandon, who is married to Lisa and lives in Redondo Beach, CA. Ashley, is a teacher in the Elkhart Community Schools and Paul, is a student at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
Bret was born in Riverside, CA, but has lived in Indiana most of his life. He graduated from Penn High School and joined the Marine Corps afterwards. He severed for 6 years, stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. After being discharged, he became a private investigator for a short period of time before deciding to further his education and began working for Valmont Industries, Inc.
Within Valmont Industries, Inc. he worked as a purchasing agent, then to production control and for most of the years being there, a traffic manager.
Bret likes to travel. He traveled a lot of the world while in the Marine Corps. He enjoys traveling for Valmont Industries, Inc. and vacations are even better. His best time yet was visiting his son and daughter-in-law in the United Kingdom. He hopes to visit Belgium next year with his cousin and his wife.
In his spare time, he likes to (yes) scrapbook. He takes a lot of pictures making different crafts with them. Also, if your not aware already, he designs web sites. Like this one your reading.
Bret join the South Bend Transportation Club 3 years ago. He believes that the direction of the club cannot be more right. Being able to meet so many new friends, learning things within the community and industry wide, participate in the events the club holds, and of course the charitiable giving. He encourages everyone to be a part of the professional organization. a
